Engineer Goby Acting weird?

so far this has been a great place for info...to my issue i have a 5 inch engineer who usally stays under my LR but the last couple of days he has been swimming all over the tank swimming franticly at the glass...none of my other fish seem to have this issue is there somthing that i should be checking?

Your fish has the symptoms of wanting to get away. How long have you had this fish?

You first check all water quality parameters. . .and I mean ALL:
ammonia
nitrite
pH
temp
salinity/sp. gr.
alkalinity
magnesium
calcium

Then make sure you have the proper system components for water quality: What is Water Quality

Then, review the diet. Are you feeding the right quantity of the right kinds of foods?

Next is environment. Anything in the tank this fish wants to get away from?

Lastly is space. A 5" Goby should be in a 125 gallon aquarium or larger, preferably a 180.

Any or all of the above could be the reason(s) for this kind of behavior. Sort of you to evaluate the situation, looking at each and everyone of the possible contributing issues noted above.
