Fish Deworming- the basterd won't eat it.

I'm trying to deworm my fish. (Queen Angel), but she won't eat the food I bought for her:

Anti-Parasite Medicated Fish Food - by Jungle.

Is there an alternative for me? I do have Maracyn-Two, but that is a water treatment as oppose to food.
I had this fish for 2 months now, and I never dewormed her as I did not know about it in the beginning. She eats very well, but will not eat that.

It has been reported that others have trouble getting their fish to eat this med. It is actually the best med there is, but if they won't eat it, it won't do much good.

Have you tried mixing it in with the fish's favorite food? If this and all else fails, get some Praziquantel (droncit). You don't need much and you may find it difficult to find and expensive. Search the Internet. However, it is administered with food and since it takes so little, the fish usually eats it when mixed in with its food.

Did you read the post on this? It has the medication information: Strange Excrement from Fish -or- How to be a Super Pooper Snooper

Other treatments require the fish be moved to a treatment/QT.

So far I tried two things:

    1. I soaked the pellets in Vitamins (Zeo, Zeocon, Vit C, etc). He did not take it.
    2. I mixed it with other pellets and he did not like it. He ate one by accident I think.

I will try to crush this food/medication and mix it together or stuff it in my other green algae pallets and see if he takes that.

Btw, I tried this on my freshwater fish and they would not eat it either.

I have a Queen as well, and despite me having a few different foods to eat that I rotate, the Queen will only eat the pellets.

Occasionally it will nip at an algae sheet but the tang and other angels are much more interested.

    Is this a species thing?

My Angel Q. is the first fish I ever had and she eats very well except the medication
I feed her about 13 different types of food plus Vitamins. She is classified to be an omnivore, but I believe this fish eats more on the vegetable side. She loves green and purple algae. Algae in form of pellets also does her good.

The large Angels get into eating habits (if the hobbyist allows it) that are hard to alter/modify. The pellet diet is one of the worse diets for them, but once they are in a rut, they continue the path. No marine fish eats wheat. Never heard of a school of marine fish raiding a wheat field. Yet pellets usually contain wheat and wheat products which the fish doesn't digest.

For Information regarding pellet, flake, and disc foods, check under the heading of Flake, Pellet, Stick, and Disk Foods in the post: Fish Health through Proper Nutrition

^ I do pellets once a week, just to mix the diet.

BTW, that food by Jungle was a waste. The fish will not eat it. Even my kids won't eat it.
