I recently took a chance, taking a fish from a friend trusting he had no tank problems. A few weeks later I notice my fish starting to flash. I am now able to see spots. Will my engineer gobies survive if I treat with copper??

Hi JRE34 ; As long as you treat your fish in a hospital tank with copper and the sooner the better chances of them all surviving. I think it takes atleast 2 weeks for the ich life cycle to die off . Check the stickies to make sure . Good Luck!! Next time Quarrantine all new additions.![]()
If I remember right, gobies are very sensitive to copper and don't usually do well. Hopefully Lee will chime in and set us straight.

Some chelated copper meds are not so good with Gobies. Some are okay. I don't have any personal experience or knowledge of which are which, except for one. Use Cupramine to be on the safe side.
