Question Is Maracyn Two Safe for Starfish

I have a dwarf Flame Angel that has popeye. I heard that Maracyn Two is great with it. I only have a 30g tank so I don't have a quarantine tank. I was wondering if anyone knows if Maracyn Two is safe for starfish. I looked on the company's website and there is absolutely no information about inverts or starfish while using this product.

I really don't want to have anything happen to my starfish, especially the Orange Chocolate Chip because it took me forever to find him and I paid a lot of $$$$ for him.

    Thanks everyone.

Re: Is Maracyn Two Safe for Starfish

Maracyn Two for Saltwater fishes has not been tested/tried on all invertebrates. In general, it may be okay. But an active aquarium has many more lifeforms in it than just the large ones you see. It would nonetheless kill bactera that your aquarium has established to help keep the aquarium environment stable. It is best to use a separate, hospital tank for treatment. However, even after treatment you need to consider how to prevent this from happening in the future.

Thanks for the info. He slammed into a rock when he got scared and injured his eye. That's how he hurt himself.
