Thumbs up Hyposalinity and my 100g!!! So not excited

Thought i would keep updates on here for my QT tank hyposalinity treatment. I have a 100g DT. That will be sitting fallow for the duration. I have been reading alot "alot" of previous threads, mainly from that Leebca fella. Thank you sir. Awesome information. My puffer and Sailfin have come down with a case of the Ich. And it also seems like they have what i like to call a attatchment disorder. Every day when i come home from work for about the last week, these 2 fish have had ich spots on them. They see me and come to the front of the tank and are all excited like dogs at the door. And they tend to visibley clear up through out the evening. The wrasse has since started scuffing on rocks fairly frequently. So I am not going to take any chances. This truly is the first time in 6 years in the hobby I have decided to do something drastic due to the well being of my 5 piece set. Had them for a while.

Thumbs up Re: Hyposalinity and my 100g!!! So not excited

All is well this morning. Fish were awake swimming freely and ate well at breakfast. Params. were good as well. In the process of moving the fish over my puffer slurped up some air trying to puff up. I had to kind of do a fish burping. He was trying to swim to the bottom with a balloon attached to his waist. And in putting the rocks back in the DT I was stung by my Long spine urchin. F-U-N! Moving forward with the Hypo treatment and I have a very good feeling about it. If anyone has any advice on how to, when it is time to, get the puffer fish out without having him in air for any period of time?

But all is well on the homefront. Fingers crossed.
Can't stand around and do nothing!

    Thanks

Good to hear. Keep an eye on that urchin wound. Marine infections work really fast, and can be particularly dangerous and painful if not treated in the early stages.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

+1. I've seen pictures of marine infections that looked absolutely nasty and I imagine, equally painful.
