B-ionic dosing Calcium alkalinity

Hi reefers, i need some more help!
I am trying to raise my calcium on my 55gl reef tank with 15gl sump. my alkalinity is right where i want it 197ppm but my calcium is at 400 and would like it at 420ppm, using a dosing calculator it says i need 75ml to get my Calcium to where i want it. my problem is, everyone says i need to dose equal amounts of both Calcium and Alkalinity, wouldn't that raise my alkalinity higher then i want it? and that will defiantly raise my PH. Can some one help me, to learn how to properly dose?

Go to the sticky in the forum titled, What is Water Quality. There you will find a chart on what numbers make a balanced chemistry. You do not need to adjust any chem that is where you want it to be. Whoever/wherever the advice has come from is wrong.
