    Powder brown issue

My tang developed this "bullseye" in it's head. It happened rather quickly. Not sure if it bumped a nem or worse. Good diet of nori/ seaweed soaked in vitamins, mysis cyclopeze
    Any thoughts?

Yea, I have an idea, but you posted in Lees side, and I hate to get in his things. But, imo, he ran into a rock. These guys dart around pretty quick in my tank, and I usually see something on them here and there. Doesn't look like Hole in Head to me, I think your ok.
    For what its worth.

Thanks. That's what I've been thinking. Coral, nem or rock. It appeared within a three hour time. I'm positive it wasn't there before that. Hopefully lee will concur

More than likely an injury. If it is, it should start healing. A healing injury usually has a whiteness at the inner edge. So just be sure it is healing. If you think it isn't healing, post again.

Congrats! Just be sure to offer sea veggies regularly. Those and mysis I think are the perfect mix for them. I also feed ocean nutrition formula two a couple times a week and they love it

    Re: Powder brown issue

I asked my LFS for a Blonde Naso but said if a Power Brown came, I would take it. Just concerned about the PB and the reef, but looks like for the most part they are safe. I think that's it on fish for me though...so one or the other. I usually alternate Ocean Nutrition and Mysis with Nori - every other day. They go wild for the Cyclopeeze and of course, Arcti Pods too.

I've never heard of pbs being bad for reef. They can b nasty to other tangs they don't like but I think like all fish are hit or miss.
I really like the blondes. A friend had one for years and became the family pet . It was a cool dude. Good luck! Can't wait for pics!

    Re: Powder brown issue

Tough toss up there. I'd rather have the Powder Blue, very pretty fish. I've got the Naso, also very colorful, but I've seen the Powerder Blue, and would love to get one of those.
