Kevin, Charlie told me that Brandon was moving. I read his thread and he says you can tell me about what he is selling. Is he selling his livestock separately? Do you have the details? Thanks, Cynthia
Kevin, I was wondering what you can tell me about the live stock that Brandon is selling. Thanks, Cynthia
Every time I tried to send this, I got a message telling me that my message was too short and I needed to add two more characters. Now you have three messages. Love these computers.
Hi Devon Tank is doing well, I finally fabricated a hanging system for the ATI T5 fixtures. It is SO nice to be able to just scoot them out of the way for cleaning or other maintenance tasks. Like really totally nice, shoulda done it a long time ago! I bought some rock from KevinP in Spokane & a Racoon Butterfly yesterday. I keep forgetting how long all the dipping & acclimatizing takes for the fish, I always get t bed late (I had an emergency call, did not get home till after 9PM). The aptasia look to be doing well...nice. I was reading about the Raccoon Butterfly's being a possible second choice for Aptasia control, so that is another reason I bought it (plus it is a Hawaiian fish). KevinP had a Coperband in the store, but somebody already had dibs on it so I was outta luck on that one. I have seen the Berghia Nudibranchs, there is an outfit in TX that breeds them: http://www.berghia.net/index.html They have been down for the summer re-tooling their setup to produce more of the nudibranchs. I am near the top of the list for the end of the month/beginning of Sept for placing an order, then we shall see. I have peppermint shrimp (15 of them) and a green brittle star that will possibly act as predators for the nudibranchs, time will tell. It is a large tank, I'll try to place the colony of nudibranchs where the brittle star is not. KevinP is very skeptical of the nudibranchs, is very positive about the peppermint shrimp....the shrimp are not touching the aptasia in my setup, so maybe shrimp, a couple of hungry Butterflys (I'll still try to get a Copperband B for the tank) and the nudibranchs will get the aptasia down or low or gone....who knows. I am planning to be at the meeting end of the month, are you? We have football gearing up and our oldest son is a senior this year, but it sounds like the first game will be on Saturday, so I should be OK for Friday night. Take care! KevinD
Hello! How is the tank going? Have you checked out these Berghia Nudibranchs? Charlie says he might now a guy in Spokane who has some. I'd never seen these guys before.
