    Milo, you are always gonna have some die off regardless, if it were me, I would go with about 40-45 lbs. of some really porous LR, Kaelini or Pukani. You get more bang for your buck I have found. My 300 has mostly Kaelini, and there is only about 225 lbs. I went with a lower aquascape for more coral growing room !!!!
  2. starting a reef tank after a few years out of the hobby, had a very sucessful 100gal setup. my question is; is it safe to purchase 70lbs premium live rock before tank has been cycled, have a 65gal tall tank with 20lbs rock,and 4 damsels, 20gal sump in basement, tank nas been up for about a week.
