LR lighting requirements plus a few more question

Does LR need lighting or is this just for corals and fish i have (t5) 2-10,000 k lights, 2-actinic and six moon lights. i added the LR and sand yesterday evening, this morning the tank is clear. it seems as everythng has settled, i want to know when i can re test my salinity levels as the live sand did come with some water in the bag. as well as what the temp of the water should be i keep finding diffrent temps on different sites i want a reef aquarium with some reef fish is my goal mostly coral.

I'd say your lighting is sufficient. But what size tank? You can test you water right now if you wanted to. Tank temp should be between 78-81.

I'm asking if the lights need to be on during cycling.I should have worded it better. It's a 45 gallon breeder so it's a low and wide tank.

Yes, run them. You are working on stabalizing your system, and part of that is growing the organisms on that Rock. Run for a normal time period through the cycle.

Tank temps are usually between 78 - 81. Don't tell Al Gore.
