Lots of questions on new set up

Im sorry for posting here, im not sure if this is the right thread or not but I couldnt find anything to help indicate how to start a new one. I just bought a protein skimmer the seaclone 100 and I have a few questions on it. I turned it on and in the instructions it indicates for the hang on installation IF i see an air bubble to adjust until it disappears. I did not see any air bubble going through my J Tube so I just adjusted until i saw a thick cyclone in the rinser tube. there seems to be a lot of micro bubbles going into my tank and I heard that I shouldnt have that much... Should I be waiting until I see an air bubble before I make any adjustments to the air valve? to get the air bubble should I leave the air valve completely off or put it on without tightening?

If your Skimmer is brand new. Take it back out and wash it down with vineagar and water to get the slime coating off of it. Then set it back up and see what it does.

Everything. Inside the skimmer, the tubes. you have to get out the slime on the new plastic, or it will take a week or 2 for it to come out by itself.
