    Tank is finally cycling !!!

I was starting loosing my eyesight from reading all those post so finally I set up my tank and it's cycling. I have 29 gallon tank and I already regret buying 2 Nano 425 power heads. I think they are not strong enough. I intend to keep some corals and they like a lot of water movement. So far there are only rocks and sand in the tank but the water movement is not significant. We'll see, power heads are not very expensive so maybe I will change that later on. The next day after setting up the aquarium the ammonia reading shows 0.50 ppm and stays like this which is a I think a good sign. I have dry rocks and 40 lbs of live sand. Initially I added 2 raw shrimps but I removed them the next day. Skimmer is on, light is off.

850gph not significant flow? WOW. Thought that would be great flow in there. Being as for a Reef in a 29g you should start at 600gph, so I would think you would have great flow.

Maybe I am wrong about the water flow or maybe I should adjust the angle and spot. So far there are only rocks so you can't see any soft coral moving, etc. It is recommended about 20 x water flow for corals so I am well above, I think I should be fine then.

I have all the equipment, thanks.
