Charlie, I wish I were closer... I'd come help in a minute!

Looks like you might have robbed a bank on the way to Kevins..... ;)

I appreciate that Mike, believe me, your help would be a good time. But I don't have any sprite!!!!

Nope, not a bank, but the lady at the credit union wished somebody a Merry Christmas. Actually, I did get all my shopping done Saturday morning, and I didn't even need any margaritas.

    Charlie,

These are some top notch pumps you got there, and reactor is no slouch either.
    ;)

Don;t worry about the speed, it all will come together in the end. I too would come and land a hand but my traveling papers been suspended lately by the comanding officer...
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

Planning Gene, planning. I am trying to make this as painless as I can, but I know for sure that somebody is gonna be taking a trip or 2 to the hardware store the day we do this.

Thanx for the compliment on the pumps, I hope they run quiet and long!!!!!!

The sequence pumps are VERY quiet.... That Iwaki 70, not very quiet at all.... I could hear mine running from the top of the basement steps. I have 2 Bluelines now, a 55 and a 40, together they are more quiet then the single 70 was.

I have an Iwaki 100 running my skimmer, and I don't think it is loud. What did you use for a pad underneath it?

I had some foam, I think it was the stuff that came with a MAG12. The 2 bluelines are running on 1/2" thick stuff that I bought as kids playmats. It is multi colored on one side, and grey on the other. (Bought it at Sam's Club.)

The 1/2" stuff is the mat I am looking for. I think one of my friends has me covered on that. I will find out sometime around Christmas.

Just gotta go to Home Depot and grab all the other plumbing stuff that I will need, (yeah right). I am sure people will be running to the hardware store the day we start this!!!

I went to Wal Mart and got this to put underneath all my stuff including tank, stand, refugium, sump, reactors and pumps. Had to use two but they work great.

Thanx Chuck, if my buddy can't procure the rubber mat, I will look into this. Why did you have to use 2??

LOL! That is a good start Charlie.

Well, with all this time off, have you started, or has your family taken all your time like mine has?

All I have been able to do is pick up some odds and ends Mike. Been pretty busy with the family stuff, but that isn't any big deal. I can't really get going anyways, because the first step requires a bunch of lifting, and the way my back is............. I can wait for help!!!

Re: Motivated or what--The rebuild of the 300

I should update this, just cuz!!!
I am going to pick up all, (yeah right), my plumbing stuff tomorrow. I think I'll get 3-4 of everything, just to make sure I have enuf. I think I can also start building some of the manifolds and returns. That should be fun. I have at least 5 confirmed yes answers for folks being there, and I have already ordered the ribs, per Rob's request. He had better show, or else I'll Fed Ex the ribs to his house!!!
I received all my loc-line needs from Savko on Friday, so I hope I am ready to go.
My old buddy, Duane, is even gonna come up from Missoula to help out, lookin forward to that!!!! He knows that tank as well as I do. He also got some rubber mats for me, so Mike, I won't need you to ship anything.
I keep saying this should be fun, but I am not gonna record any of this, because there may be a deleted expletive or 8 that slips out. I hope Lorie doesn't get the camcorder out!!!!!
