shipped in cold water

I orderd a Seriatopora stellata and a Montipora confusa frag From forsters and smiths. They arived in really cold water, they are both pretty brown but I asume thats from not being under any lights. I don't see any sighn of tissuse resession or bleaching. Anything else I should be looking for?...its hard to beilve they would be okay in water that cold. Even the little Fox face was touch and go for awhile and those fish are a lot hardier then SPS corals.

Re: shipped in cold water

well I reciently recieved a blue tort from spokane and it was a frag that was under rock and almost buried in the sand with no light for a month and the polyps are out now .. so dont underestimate those sps... just keep parameters up and they'll aclimate...

Re: shipped in cold water

Sorry I missed this. Kyle is right about some sps, they can take a little abuse at times, especially with shipping. I have had them come to my house dry before, and that was a mille. I was surprised that it made it!!!

Let us know how things turned out.
