I think 1/2" should be more than enough with the supports the stand has. ...... I've also been thinking about the padding and simply can't think of the name of it. I know Charlie knows, Kevin used it under his big display tank in the shop, or at leasst I think he did. Can't wait for a meeting at your place to work on the system, should be fun. |

Re: New 180
Well I was going to wait till I had water in, but heck I'll tell you now.......
I have valves on the way. Also bought some plumbing supplies. I hope to have valves here next week. Then I'll fill it with H2O and make sure no leaks.

Re: New 180
Another dead thread heard from.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That is great news Brandon. Can you leak test it before then? If I remember right, All you need to do is get a 1.5" bulkhead, and plug the one hole in back, and you could leak test it fairly easily. Looking forward to your progress, I know you are itching pretty bad to get this thing running. |

Re: New 180
I have all 3 bulk heads. So I guess I could do somthing like that. I just figured I put a true union on each one. Thinking might be less mess when I drain it. I guess I could pump water out window. I almost need a bigger pump. Might take awhile with a maxi jet 1200
