New in here.

Hello people. I'm basically new to SW. I have read a bunch on it and I plan on moving my puffer from brackish to full marine soon. I came to you guys cause I heard that local clubs are much safer to get LR from and maybe a used skimmer I still don't have my tank yet either, so I'm in no hurry, just gonna do it right.

I unfortunately won't be needing anything along the lines of corals, cause I just can't afford them and their lighting.

thanks for any help.

Re: New in here.

welcome and good to have you. if you want to "do it right" then keep reading asking questions. there are a lot of smart people here and they give good advice. you have a wealth of info right there in C-falls in Charlie. he knows his stuff. if you can make it, come to the next meeting.
hope to see you there

Don't tell me you are gonna try and keep track.
Are you setting it up here?
This is a good system, it does everything I want it to do, the reminders are really nice!!!

Re: New in here.

Welcome to Reef Land. If you not in a rush and want live rock you could make your own, I have made a lot for my tank.

Re: New in here.

my biggest tank is a 55 but it's FW. my brackish tank is a 20gal long. and I have a few little biotype 10gal. I'm looking at getting a 30 or 40 to setup as SW, I know that's small, but i don't mind doing the extra work to keep the water stable. the reason I'm not getting a big tank like I want, is because I still live at home (in my senior year at CFHS) and my mom was a bit upset when I told her I was going to put even more water in my upstairs bedroom.
I am always open to suggestions though, so if you guys have any idea or anything, just let me know.

Re: New in here.

Are you planning on heading to college, that may make a difference as to what you want to do. You definitely don't want to get to large of a deal going then have to give it up.
