free orange shoulder tang!

Hey guys/gals, I have a roughly 5 inch orange shoulder tang that I would like to give away to someone. I'm in Missoula, and you can have him/her if you come get it! My only specification is that you have big enough tank. Or if you feel generous, you could give me a frag of something! I just want to decrease my bioload on my tank, and that tangs the first one to go!

Damn, wish you would have had that in January!!!!! I am about full up on Tangs my friend. Have you tried to take him to one of the shops in Missoula for store credit??? I don't know of anyone up here that has a tank big enough that is already a little overcrowded, sorry.

Hey thanks Charlie! Unfortunately, theres only one LFS here anymore since blue realm is gone. If I gave it to them, it would certainly end up in the wrong hands. I may end up putting him on craigslist, or If I end up going over to Spokane this winter, I might see if Kevin would want him! Hopefully I find someone around here!

You know, as many people as there are who have salt tanks around the area, it constantly amazes me that there are only a few that get on these boards????

Its kind of strange, but most folks that I know around here with tanks don't do any research and don't seem to want to. In fact most of them don't have computers!

Yep! I know someone that recently ordered a pair of mandarins, a scooter dragonet, two baby yellow tangs, and a powder blue tang....all for their 40 bowfront that crashed before by being overstocked and not cycled.

I have met two others around here and told them about this place(Reefland) and to check it out-join the club but haven't heard from them.
Wish I could take it off your hands, but I dont want to go over board in my 90. I don't think my 90 is big enough anyhow

Do you have that "Marine Fishes" book by Scott Michael? If he does get back to you, just make sure he doesn't have the same species as the Orange Shoulder.

If I am not mistaken, the orange shoulder is an Acanthurus.

Thanks guys for your help! I believe the orange shoulder is an acanthurus olivaceous, or something to that effect! I hope we can find a good home for him/her. Depending on timing, I would like to meet up with the reef club soon. I have a ton of neon pocillopora frags I would like to trade/ give away!
