    Rob's 500

Took a little drive to Rob's house this morning, and figured we had better take a look at his 500, we haven't seen it since the tank tour in May. Hope you enjoy.

    Check out this millepora!!!!!

    And this Pink Stylophora!!!

This encrusting montipora is a rescue project, good job man!!!!!

    Hi Rob,
Looking good! Any pictures of the clam? The A. millepora is looking quite mature.

    Re: Rob's 500

Hey Kevin, I didn't take any pics of the clams he has. They are getting quite large tho!!!!
Maybe we could get Rob to do a little practicing with his camera and give us a couple of clam pics.
That particular Mille is the size of a serving platter!!! There is another dinner plate sized mille in there also.

Looks great Rob. Your two hammers are still huge. My hammer frag I got from you is doing fine, growing very little; but I am going to start to feed it more regularly with a tube set-up like you showed me.

Yeah, sorry I dropped off the planet for a bit there. Work and travels had me away - this is my first day off in a long time. Thought I'd get on to see what you have been up to. Looks like I might have missed a couple of meetings, bummer. I enjoyed meeting you all at the one meeting. Rob and Cynthia's tanks look great.

    Re: Rob's 500

    hey Shrink
just give that hammer some time and feed it once in a while and it'll grow great. the frag i have left must have about 10 or 15 new little heads that have popped up since the light hits some new areas of it. i like to feed mine any sort of meaty treat, the hard part is keeping the fish away.
maybe'll i see you if we have anoter meeting. you could always post a pic of your frag. pics are great because they let you see how much things really grow....

    Re: Rob's 500

Thanks Rob, I'll do that - feed it now and then and also get a picture of it up at some point (lights are out now). The hammer grew some new heads but they are pretty small, I think. I only have two fishes in there so feeding the coral should not be a problem. I'm going to rig a syringe at the end of my feeding tube so I can better control the release of food. Does that sound like a good idea? -Nick

    Re: Rob's 500

great idea. i use a syringe with a length of ridge air tubing to feed my LPS. although i ususally just put so much food in for the fish when i feed that the coral get some too some LPS do better when you feed them after dark. i probably should but i never do that any more.

    Re: Rob's 500

Rob, my povona is going crazy. The hammer also has 4-6 new heads growing on it also. The procilapora (I think) Is doing much better. It turned very white before I replaced my lights. I know I need to post pictures, I'll try to get a few later. Take care
