    Thumbs up January Meeting

Barring any complications, such as a blizzard, how does January 17th sound for a little get together? I know of a couple of people that could use some coral for their tanks, and I just happen to know a guy that can help you all out.
I am thinking we could get together around 11 or so in the morning, so we can get an early start. There should be plenty of hot buttered rum mix to go around!!!!! I will go ahead and BBQ some burgers, so we got something to munch on also.

    Re: January Meeting

As much as I want to start getting around more things are not where I really can yet. I have had them cut me back to three days at work and cut my shopping\respite days even as I have to hire someone to be here when I am gone.

At least I have gotten a few tanks up and running so I can sit and watch them while I babysit Dad.

    Re: January Meeting

i should be up for a get together by then. the only question is ski season. the way we're going that might not be a problem
if your looking to set people up with corals you should post up a pic of your birds nest. every tank needs a little birdsnest, not to mention it is a great coral. easy to care for and can deal with most light set ups..... also it has great color. do i hear fragging in the future?????

    Re: January Meeting

So does that mean it will be fine under incandescants

Hey anything that would go under power compacts that are only a few inches above the surface on my 20 and not take over the tank I would look at.

The hex - I am just adding a few things at a time after the snail disaster. I have a cc star which is just fine and being that it would eat just about any coral i put in there it will probably be FO.

I will mark it on my calendar too, Charlie.
Looks like I missed a good meeting this month.
    Thanks for showing the pictures.
I could have done without a pic of the 3 hooligans though. Just kidding! Brandon, your tank is looking mighty fine! That Pocillopora looks familiar.

    Re: January Meeting

I might attempt to take a run thru some water chemistry stuff again, might need a little help. I know we have folks that are struggling with the water chemistry thing. Might just have to sit around and have a real good group discussion about this.

    Re: January Meeting

hey Charlie, how are things going? do you think you'll have room in your driveway for cars or just all the snow that has been falling? boy did we get dumped on yesterday!!!! i think i'll be plowing all day today.

water chemistry is always a good topic. maybe we can include different methods of maintaining levels as well? it would be nice to see who is adding what? i'd like to know if someone has a cheaper way that works as well or better.

    Re: January Meeting

Plenty of room up here for rigs, I keep the whole driveway clean. Had to do it 2 times yesterday, we got about 16-17 inches.
We will end up talking about any method we can I am sure, I doubt if anybody is gonna come up with a cheaper method though, but we'll see.

    Re: January Meeting

i'm a bit surprised about the snow. i figured that there wouldn't be any base. no skiing for me yet, just haven't made time. i tried to get the phazer going but it wouldn't start. i need to mess with it a bit, i guess. do you go sledding from your house or do you travel somewhere?
maybe we should take sleds to Charlie's house for the meeting

    Re: January Meeting

Rob there is more base in the southern area. The picture is from Boulder(East shore) That was before Christmas, no base. It was a tough ride. Went over the Jocko twice after x-mass It was a blast. There is some base and I was Abel to get around frailly good on my short Little 144" track. I had to work the 800 for the most part. We didnt stay on the roads if we didnt have to. Everybody I ride with has at least a 155" to 177" track and we are all riding 700's, 800's and a couple 900's. There isn't any were to ride from my house, so we have to travel a Little.
