    May Meeting

As we discussed last night, our May meeting will be Saturday, May 30th. The meeting will again be held at the Fish Corral, but this time, it will hopefully be their Grand Opening BBQ Meeting!!!!! I just got off the phone with John, and he really wants us to come down and help celebrate the opening of the new store!!!!
There will be more details to follow, I just wanted to get this off of my to do list and get it out for everybody to view.
John Van Zant, where are you??????

    Re: May Meeting

John and Melanie will supply the meat/chicken, the side dishes are going to be up to the rest of us, how's that sound to you all. We can use this thread to figure out what everybody is gonna bring so we don't do too much doubling up. I will also send out an e-mail and direct everybody to this thread, but that will be a little further down the road, probably a couple weeks before the meeting.

    Charlie
SOUNDS GREAT!!!! I will host the June one then. I really enjoyed the meeting and finally getting a chance to meet some of the others. Lots of information and knowledge, that is why I believe your club will be a success, besides you being a kick in the pants. Thanks also for being patient with my son Ryan, he loves this hobby and loves we were able to take another peak at your awesome tanks. Thanks again

Jesse, it was good to have a new person show up on such short notice, and it was good to see you are interested in joining up!!!!! It looks like we may need all the help we can get.
You can always catch up at the next meeting, unless you wanted to come up and see my tanks...............................;);)

    Re: May Meeting

Well Charlie, I may just have to take you up on that. I'd love to see what a 300 gallon reef tank looks like, I'm up in C.falls from time to time. Otherwise I'll definitely get ya at the next meeting. Also, if you still had an abundance of xenia I'd still be more than willing to give some a good home. P.P.S. If you click on my screen name, I have a tank pic up for my profile pic. I think it's a bit big to give a thumb of. (I only have 1 clown fish, he's just so photogenic.)

    Re: May Meeting

Pieces of my toad stool leather are falling off, but still living. Please if any suggestions on how to place them somewhere else in the reef tank, and keep them where they are placed.

    Re: May Meeting

You can rubberband them, not to tight, to a piece of LR rubble, you could use a toothpick to pin them down. There's a bunch of ways.

    Re: May Meeting

Impossible to say exactly, just leave it there for a while. I usually forget about it until it's too late.
All you really have to remember is to be at the fish corral at 5PM on the 30th.

    Re: May Meeting

I was just reading an article about propagating soft corals and it said to rub vitamin c on the spot you want it to stick, supposed to help, and to expose it to current to avoid infection. This might be for fresh cuts, but I could see where a small amount of current might make it want to hold on.

I will have to do some reading on that, never heard of vitamin C being used for that. Do you have a link to the material?
