Me too but how long should I wait for a CUC? I don't want to rush it.

Well... not really. I was kinda favoring those online prices. Nothing against the Fish Corral.

I really don't think that if you set this one up correctly, you will have this issue again, but it is up to you

If you think you need to order before then............you gotta do what you gotta do!!!!!

    Re: Reeftopia time?

So, as I was leaving the house this morning, it looked like some of my new LR was a little orangish but I wasn't quite sure. I just got home and took another look. There are little spots of orange on the sand and indeed the LR is starting to turn orange. Don't think I ever saw orange in my 29G. Diatoms already? Should I go ahead with a clean up crew? I don't want to spend the money on a CUC if they will just die from chemical spikes during the cycling process. What gives? Should I just wait it out? Looking for advice from Dr. Reef...

    Re: Reeftopia time?

Orangish or gold(ish) rock, in a new set up is typical of a diatom bloom. Perfect sign of the proper progression!!

Before you guys place a group order from Reeftopia, check out ReefCleaners.org | Clean Up Crews and Macro Algae - Home

John's a great guy, but he doesn't know how to count, which ALWAYS works out in the buyers favor!! I recently placed an order for my 200. I swear I got almost twice what I ordered!! If you decide to go that route tell him returnofsid sent you.

    Re: Reeftopia time?

I actually liked that as well. Though for different reasons probably. Every time I buy snails, I have to try and remember which of the two it is that is too stupid to turn itself over!!! I'm too stupid to remember....lol. So, now I don't have to remember!!!

500 cerith snails for that price is downright awesome. I know I could probably use a few also.

    Re: Reeftopia time?

Oh, also keep in mind that there are shipping options other than overnight. I opted for one of the others, and they took 2 days, to Spokane. He is one of the people who ships in a wet paper towel, but no water (which I really like!!). I do think I lost a few snails, but with him sending me almost 2X the order, I wasn't complaining!!
