    Lost Creek 270

I have my tank all nice & clean (last night) so I thought I'd let you all see how it looks. I have added an Apex controller and am remodeling the rock pile. The Ocean Motions 4-way is going (more flow, per Charles suggestion) and my Ca & Alk consumption are going up-up-up. People may also notice the striking absence of Aptasia...the Raccoon Butterfly has decimated them in 6 weeks! And he's growing. Any who here it is: Tank shot, Left - Middle - Right

Very nice Kevin!!!!!!!!!! Hope you can keep the little racoon fed, he sure is a pretty fish, and functional too!!!! Congrats on the aiptasia, it is nice when you can get rid of them naturally.
How is the Hawaii theme coming along, you haven't mentioned that.
I was wondering if you could also post this in this thread:

The Picture behind the TANKS/ everyone try to post.

Everybody should see what you have done in the last year or so.

Yes Charlie, food wise I'm hoping the mix I am making will be more to the Butterfly's tastes, plus I'm getting in some of the Mega Marine frozen angel/butterfly food. It's not that the Aptasia are gone, they are just not very plentiful now & they're hiding out....still present. It is kinda funny, I'll see a bunch on a rock and the next day, Poof! Gone! The other funny (maybe not so funny) is he does pick at my Zoanthids a bit. That is not the funny part, but the response of the Zoanthids is, in that they are scattering...literally going in all directions off of the rocks they have been perched on since I got the aquarium. I did not know they could do that! Move I mean!

I'm pretty happy with how the tank looks, I think the finished remodel of the rock pile will be even nicer.

We are gearing up for more new fish, we will be getting Hawaii fish (maybe some form HA?). I'll let you all know as they arrive! I will also post to the other thread. I'll dig up some old pics, so people can see the coral & Fish growth, also the rise of the Aptasia.

    Re: Lost Creek 270

Snowing? COOL! I was up before dawn and at our house it was calm & warmer than yesterday early AM, BUT I could hear the wind blowing up in the mountains which means look out! I hope Brandon got all of his spuds in...some of the other potato ranchers are in panic mode digging the spuds before it freezes here (today?).

As for fish orders...I'm looking at Wet Pets HA, Vivid Aquarium & Salt Water Fish.com, any comments good or bad on these folks or other recommendations?

Nice pics Kevin! I especially like the 442 . Your car looks to be a little ahead of my Camaro in the resto process. Keep up the good work! Oh and it's raining and kind of snowing here right now.

    Re: Lost Creek 270

The car has been fun, will get done just in time to SIT UNDER COVER FOR 6 FREAKIN' months. This AM it was initially very cloudy, then really cloudy with everything pouring over the mountains from the east, then raining and then to heavy rain & now there is snow in it! Very cool unless you're digging spuds (or preg testing cows)

Thanks, on the tank. It is getting on with winter here FINALLY, reefhead..... we were 90 deg about a week ago. that's why we live in MT, bring it on! I love being able to XC ski out of my back door and watch grizzly bears off of my deck. When I get tired of that, I go watch the fish ;-)

I have heard both good and bad about Vivid, but they stand by their stuff from what I hear, so that is good.

I would not expect the snow & ice there;) We just love the seasons here, never dull, but we do get short of daylight here for a while

Charlie I've got a call into Les at WPH...will see how that goes!
