    Marine Paint?

Anybody know who carries good marine paint in the valley? I checked Cardinal and WBC in C-Falls and neither have any...
I'm building a hood for new retrofit lighting and need this pine sealed up nice. Plain old white will do fine.

    Thanks guys

Haven't been to kalispell yet. Thought I'd ask before I went running around all over the place. You think Home Depot might have some?

    Re: Marine Paint?

Well, apparently the boat stores don't use paint it's a gel of some sort and kinda toxic, Home depot and lowes have nothing, and linex wants too much (yes I called them too)
Any ideas? I'm just short of covering the damn thing in silicone...

Actually, there is a cheap DIY linex that auto places sell worth a try?
    I'm just getting frustrated...

Never heard of the Linex stuff. Just go into one of the local stores and see what they suggest. Couple of coats of varnish wouldn't hurt it.

    Re: Marine Paint?

The best stuff I've found is "Krylon Fusion for plastic". Bonds to just about everything including metal and wood. I painted the back of my tank with it, and the stuff doesn't budge. I've also used it on powerheads that went in the tank with no problems - it's supposed to be aquarium safe from everything I read before using it. After applying about 8 thin coats, the finish was a nice, uniform glossy black. I believe it comes in white too. Got it at Cardinal on Hwy 2 in Kalispell.

    Re: Marine Paint?

From what I have read most people suggest good old latex kiltz for hoods.
