Are you willing to cover my expenses over and back and a motel room? I am not going to make a one day trip to Spokane this time of year. JMHO

Oh, and I need the cash before I would leave.

its okay. we're all busy. besides winter doesnt exactly motivate a person you know. but ya thanks defiatlley keep me in mind. ill be patiently waiting.....
changing topics here. i had a red hair alge thing starting and did a partial tear down. where i glued you nice frag of pink birds nest and some pavona (far apart) started to do the die off on the tips. when i pulled all the rocks with livestock the water temps in the holding containers stayed good so I dont know what happened but I just went in there and hammered it down to a nub. Is that that stuid rapid tissue necrossis or whatever? will it stop now? I mean what starts that crap? Nothing touched it i was so careful. with everthing for that matter. that was an awsom piece and had almost doubled! RRrr!

Can I ask a question? How many times have you done a "partial teardown" since I have known you?
These corals like stability, and everytime you get in there and mess with stuff, they aren't gonna be stable Kim. Stop tearing things down with every problem you see, let things ride for a while, let nature take its sweet time.

that was a first in there. I already know how much I screwed up. Got the lecture already. Wont happen again. that red hair algea was in my zoos on my hard corals my glass. shutting light back turned it to slime. there just isnt enough reading out there. I feed 1 a cube once a day. 2 pjs carinals 1 bangai 1 midas 1 combtooth blenny a yellow watcman 2 small chomis a fire shrimp a coral banded 3 smal black clowns crabs a snails and a sand sifter. I need another job so i can get my sump biult. thanks for the advice i wont do it again. i got scared. My first reaction is to call you.

none of the fish are big yet. the midas is long. but i dont know is it? CRAP! sifter doing a good job on the sand for me so i cant say. no poop piles. papamerters seem okay. fish happy. WAAAaaa! 10 oz in a bag on one side of the cpr along with almost a whole pound in the canister. the poly and phos pads in the surface skimmer.

last but not least, are you using RO/DI water

The excess nutrients are coming from somewhere Kim. I realize the fish may not be big, but 8 fish in a 50 may be a bit much. Have you looked at any of Lee's articles in the fish forum?

Don't mean to scold, but I have been thru this a bunch, and I also find patience and letting things ride is the way to go.
