Apparently you never got a warm welcome. That's an impressive setup. Too bad you're taking it down...
Hey everybody, Just found this site (thanks to lostcreekreefer) but sadly its a year to late. I just found out that i am going to be moving out of state for school, and have a deadline of the 25th of this month to tear down my system and take what i can. Some of you may have seen the craigslist add... Anyways, i am 25 years old, and have been into fish for about 8 years (salt for 4)... I am the type of person that likes to learn and challenge myself, take on DIY projects, and WAY over-build thingsAlmost every aspect of this tank was planned and built by me.
My tank is a 155 gal Bowfront (made by AGA) in-wall setup, with 125 gal sump (holding about 90 gals) and a 40 gal fuge, total system volume is around 300 gals. I am running a Precision Marine Bullet 3 skimmer, with a Panworld 250ps pump. For lighting i was running a 400w halide in the center, and 175ws on the sides, with an icecapp 660 powering VHO actinics (for a total of 1080w) but have shut most the lighting down after selling off corals and whatnot. Heres some pics of the tank from the last year or so... It has been running for 2 years now.
The bowfront sticks out from the wall, and isnt supported by any legs
Equipment room
Fish i have left:
2 Yellow tangs
2 Tennent tang
Scopas Tang
Powder Brown Tang
Coral Beauty
Pair of Clowns
Green chromis
Bi-color blenny
And my anemones, large colony of palys, some other mushrooms... I have lots of other pictures, and info about the tank if anybody is interested!
Like i said, i am trying to sell this tank and as much as possible... I would like to keep some rock and rubble the fish, the fuge, and possibly one or two other things... If you need anything specifically or are interested just ask. I have TONS of rock and rubble (which is 7-10$ per lb locally) and additives (kent 2 part) or would let most everything go for 2000$ cash
I will be going back and forth from Colorado to Mt, so i will try to keep in touch with the forum... I am going to be starting another build when i get moved so i will have something to talk about.
Thanks for taking the time to read! If you have any questions, please ask!

Very nice setup! I like the way it comes out of the wall. I can't wait until my next build or I should say built-in. I think the mangroves are cool in the fuge too.
I love sushi! Is that strange?

Yeah, you could say that. Thanks man! I just got another tank to take with when i move... so this wont be the end.
Thanks! It was kinda hard to build enough support under the front to give it that "free floating" look... but it turned out great! Prob the last time i will ever have a bowfront tho
The mangroves are growing more and more by the day... i hope they make the move when i leave because it took them almost 2 months to recover from shipping.
