    Because you can;););)

You all got the mountains, the rivers, trees(other than palm trees), the wildlife, and after seeing some of your pics I say that in more ways than 1

But to be on the fair side I've got something ya'all don't

Check this out, it's the last night launch of the current shuttle program......

    Fair is Fair

Unfortunately, I was not the shooter, oh well

Maybe we are just super ornery up this way! No, not really, just thankful for what we have. I'd love to go scuba/snorkeling right about now...can't do THAT here, this time of year (Flathead Lake is about done thawing at this point).

Oh my gosh - that is a spectacular picture Parrothead! Looks to be a long exposure too as I can see some star trails in there as well as the long shuttle tail. The photographer is good. Yup, that's a trump pic there. Thanks for sharing. See - you do have some cool stuff there.

What a gorgeous view from your home - love the pinks and purples in there. You do have a very pretty area. So, do you find yourself grabbing the camera every time the sky does something neat, or you find a critter in your yard? I sure do!

Kim- You have a great view from where you are, for sure! The camera - exactly! - I just love the digital camera, just grab it when there's a good shot. I even stop when driving sometimes for good pictures, too! We have pictures (& video) of deer, both black & grizzly bear & turkeys literally in the yard, less than 30 yards from the house. We had a griz boar on the place 2 falls ago. He stayed for 3 weeks, pretty well curtailed outside activity until he left the area (as in he ate all of the apples on out few trees). We go for hikes above our place (UP-hill) and have seen cougar, lynx, bobcat, wolf and elk tracks, have seen the cougars & elk for real & personal. The cat was not so cool, but he was scared worse than the people and took off!

    Kim,

Thank you, this is what I'm talking about, I lived in Nampa ID from 72 - 76, 4 of the best years of my life as a kid, I want my 2 girls to see that kind of stuff, and to actually grow up around it, gotta do it quick they are currently 11 and 14, I do miss the northwest......Florida isn't what it use to be, believe me on that one.

You all are in Gods country........
