If you are using a MP40w VorTech Pump and have a battery backup for it, you might want to check this out:

Looks like they are issuing new cables with in-line fuses, probably a heavier gage cable also.

Boy I had an interesting experience getting these buggers replaced. I actually have the Icecap version battery backups for the MP40w vortechs, not the EcoTech version and was told to contact IceCap to solve this issue. Turns out that Icecap built these battery backups and was supposed to only take care of the recalled cords for the units they sold personally but didn't have a concrete agreement with EcoTech Marine. In the end, I'm a bit disappointed with IceCap but EcoTech Marine pulled through and got me taken care of. Thanks Jeff Merten.
