November meeting

Where has everybody been? Up until 4 months ago this site wasn't this dead. Nobody is posting, we haven't had a meeting since July. Is it the new changes on this site keeping everybody away or is nobody interested in having a reef club anymore? I have been doing reef tanks for 27 years ( or if thats what you want to call it for the first 5, years or so.) I thought we had made new friendships and have gained more knowledge from more experience members and from members who have been through things we are experiencing. Is anyone interested in having a November meeting?

hi Vicki,
i don't come around here much. it seems so slow compared to other sites. any way bad excuse. i would be interested in a meeting maybe. mostly depends on hunting season.... i hope your system is doing well and i wish there were more hours in a day......... football this weekend, last game i'll be coaching this season. i can't believe how fast this last 3 years have flown by. soon basketball starts for Bill and the other two have already started basketball. what did i use to do before kids

I think we should try and get a meeting together. We can have it up here or somewhere else I don't care. In my opinion I think Charlie has put alot of time into trying to keep this club going for us to just let it go away. I for one have made some great friendships and its really nice to have other people to talk to that are interested into something that you are. The other sites are good too but when they talk about their frags swaps and meetings I kinda felt left out. So I really hope we can get a meeting together. Hopefully some other members will pipe in. After all we have to be ready for those Spokane people when they want to come over to our meeting this fall ? or winter ?.

I've been online so much at work that I don't get on much at home. The company I work for is getting bigger and requiring tons of time to keep up with the competition. Sorry I have been a bad reef club member. Griz football tailgates and hunting keep me very busy during the fall already. If we have a meeting on a weekend other than Nov. 20th (cat/griz game) I can probably make it. Hope you are all doing well!

I've had a few trumpets die off here lately. I want to make sure nothing else is going to go south before I add anything. I slipped up on my Alk levels and the PH dropped a little bit. Things are looking better but I just want to make sure nothing else regresses. Thanks Though. Oct. 13th looks good to me at the moment.

Hi All- I made it back from Haiti fine. Arrived in MSO last night, no signs of Cholera (yet); an outbreak started about 4 days ago while I was there, not to Port au Prince yet....if it gets into the tent cities, watch out!
Just crazy busy with prep work for the mission trip 4 weeks prior to going, just back from 2 weeks in Haiti, so I have been peeking here, just not much going on.
My $.02 worth is I will be gone the weekend of 11-13 to DIllon on Saturday...what night were you thinking about having the meeting? I would surely come if the days work out.
Tank is fine, fish & corals are growing. Vicki...I saw wild Trumpet fish on a reef off of "O'bama Beach" (really! they re-named the place after the election) that were 2' long when I was snorkeling (one day off in 12 days there). Very cool! KevinD

Vicky i think a good topic would be suplimatation. Ofcouse you know i have a heck of a time keeping my parameters up. Maybe tank crowding. lol. think that could be my problem?

Is anyone knowledable on lighting requirement for certain corals? thats a big one.
