Ok, I received an email reminding me my Skimmer Maintenance was due - I clicked on the link provided in the email to edit the reminder date, and was brought to the Water Test pages - might be an entry error on my part, but shouldn't I have ended up on the Skimmer Maintenance page instead ?
Email Text : Good day SteveP, The following maintenance is scheduled to be performed today on your aquarium: skimmer Test You scheduled this maintenance to be performed when you entered your last skimmer results. If you would like to change the scheduled date, please go to the following page and edit the scheduled date: http://www.reefland.com/myaqlog/maintenance.php?action=editentry&id=3 Once you have performed the maintenance, go to the following page to enter your test results: http://www.reefland.com/myaqlog/ Regards, Reeflands Aquarium Log Team |

That's interesting, going to take a little bit of research on this one.

I see now, I never added any functionality to change the scheduled maintenance date. I was of the opinion that it should not be editable; thoughts on that? Once the maintenance is performed it is entered into the log but no option to change the date.

![]() Um, Maintenance editable - I can see a bunch of reasons why I would want to change the period, type or names of things. I could buy a new skimmer, it doesn't need to be emptied every day, or it doesn't get as gunked up and I only clean it once every two weeks rather than every week... Calk reactor, I could change to a bigger CO2 bottle, so only need to replace it every 8 weeks instead of 4 and so on. Not to mention the fact that I have no idea how often to check some of this stuff because I have never really tried to do them on a strict regimented basis before...so I am bound to change things as I go forward. Just random thoughts ![]() Steve |

The global timing that you select to perform this maintenance is still editable in the maintenance options. As are the brand of skimmer and other equipment editable in the filtration config. The only thing that is not editable is the day that you are to perform your next maintenance becuase that is based on the previous one.
Perhaps the e-mail reminder should have a link in it to the maintenance config options where the frequency can be modified? Scott Z. |
