Version 2 out yet?
Hey Scott,
Just curious if Version 2 is out yet? I have been w/out a tank for a while and havent had the need to use the tank log but I just fired up my 28g Hex and am ready to get back into it. Hows ver. 2 coming along bro?

Not yet, but we are just a couple of days away. Unfortunately for you (I think) I have opted to not hold the release of version 2 and am releasing without the ability to add a second tank. The ability to add more than one tank will be worked on after the release of version 2 in order to get a stable release out. This modification is proving to be a lot of work, some of which is laid out on the backend of version 2.

Scott,
I may have asked this before but, are our current logs going to be carried on to the new version. I can see having to update my user CP after #2 is released, that's for sure!!

Yes, all information currently in the log will be flopped over to the new version. Any and all data entered to the log will always be in the log and will never have to be rentered due to updates.
It would be a good idea for all users to go through their usercp and make sure everything is up to date and correct but that is a breeze now, unlike the current version.

Thanx Scott, 1 more question tho. Will deleting old entries be a little easier than it is in the current version. This may not be good for some people, but I also keep a journal @ home, so I do that every once in a while.

In the new version there is an option to delete each maintenance and test entry, and diary entries. For livestock, the new version offers the option to choose Active or Inactive for all livestock, which is helpful if a particular fish or corals dies. They also have the ability to delete the entries if this is desired.
