Feature Requests

As I begin to think about features and changes that I am going to make in the Personal Online Aquarium log, I would like to solicit your feedback on what types of features or changes you would like to see made that will make the log more useful to you. Here are some of the things that are already on my list.

Major Additions

1. Ability to add more than 1 tank to the log per user.

Major Changes

1. Unclutter the look of the user homepage.
   

Minor Additions

1. Update all manufacturer lists.
2. All brands added to "Other" will be captured for automatic inclusion into the lists.

How about having three decimal places for salinity test. Dont know about you all but i meaasure my salinity like 1.025

Having your log round it up to 1.03 really looks bad...

Hi Bill, it sounds like you chose that you measure your salinity (ppt) when in fact you are measuring your specific gravity. If you change to specific gravity, it will hold 3 decimals for you. ;)

Would like the ability to add different test equipment. EX For specific gravity would like to be able to list test as using a refractometer. For test kits, would like some additional options, Salifert?

I've begun using Elos Tests and a Hanna colormeter for phosphate.

Hi Adam,

I have done some work on the new version, but it still needs more before it goes live. I would say that it will be in the next 30 days or so. It is a totally home-built program and I am the only person that codes it so it takes me a bit of time for these upgrades. Sorry for the delay.

Can you please add phosphate media chamber as something requiring maintenance? Also, can you add two-part doser as another piece of equipment, requiring maintenance (making new solution)? Thanks

Can you update the Test Overview for both Home Page and Enter test to list more than five to reflect all that have been completed during water quality test date? Typically when I test, I will check all or few parameters and script may be updated to check last date and reflect all that were entered on that date. Another option would be to look at all test parameters we check we were measuring and show those with last test date. I like the last best.

BTW - Just started using and love it! Bit of a programming hack myself so I know the time you have put into this great tool. Hope many people are utilizing.

2. A single page to allow the entry of multiple test results

Would you please give the users the ability to set the chart parameters? We can set a test target range and it would be nice to set the range for the graph as well. An example is the specific gravity. The range is so large, you can't see any variation.
