Macro Shots

I was playing with the macro function yesterday. Here's a few shots. I'm starting to think this camera is going to work out very nicely

Regards,
Kevin

Shhh Mike bite your tounge, I can't afford another expensive hobby

Gene,
It's a Lettuce Nudibranch. I have four of them. They have gotten quite large (about 4-5" long). I really like them. I wonder if they will spawn in my tank?

Regards,
Kevin

Kevin,
If they are anything like the berghias, they will spawn, and spawn and spawn........................... Hope somebody has got lots of hair algae. Those pics are incredible, nice job.

Kevin,

Looking from that angle I could never tell it was Elysia crispata. Regardless though, I am glad they had grown for you so well.Abviously they had plenty of food to eat to be able to grow to that size and yes, I think they will readily reproduce if they have enough energy for it and enough food to sustain them.
Yay!

I agree with Gene it looks like Elysia Crispata (lettuce slug)! I glad to see that some one can keep them alive. I would lose them shortly after all the hair algea was gone or they would find there way to the sump.

The camera is a Nikon Coolpix 5200. My wife bought it for me for my birthday a few days ago from Costco. Charlie picked me up a 512 meg memory stick and I dug my old 1976 tripod out of the basement, and I've been having a ton of fun since

Regards,
Kevin
PS: I believe it was $249 and comes with 12 meg of internal memory.

Martin,
I've had them about 1 year. My only overflows are in the center of the tank pretty much encased in corals so they're pretty safe. I keep hoping to see baby ones but haven't so far.

Regards,
Kevin
