Talking For the nature lovers in you...

Well,

As title says... Went for a weekend to Pocono mountains, Bushkill falls in particular and managed to snap a few images. Here's some I think came out OK. No editing, just resized them for now so I can share a few.Hope you enjoy.

Wow Beautiful pics.

There's a waterfall down the road from my house in Ar that looks exactly like that one.

I was gonna ask how he got that deer picture and then I realized the fake background. Great pictures though!

Indeed, perfect model it was...

Chuck, when you have some time, can you snap couple of shots of the falls?
I love waterfalls, although the trip nearly killed my back...
Here's a few more that I just finished editing.

So, you mean if I would take the background away you couldn't tell that it was stuffed? I would've loved to take some shots of the live ones but unfortunately it is mating season right now and I saw all but one deer in two days that I was there and it was a buck looking for something... all the doe's are hiding. Plus, people are crazy on this hikes- bring dogs and yell and scream so all the animals scatter.

Those are excellent Gene! Can I play with them a bit and repost? I'll bet I can make the colors POP a little bit more.

I like it. I have to be honest, I didn't play with the colors or curves at all on this images. Basically what you see is a simple levels adjustment and resizing. I need to seriously spend some time with the PS in the future and learn how to process images correctly. However, I had 1gb card full of images so you can understand why I hesitate to even think of working on them seriously... Who;s got the time?

How about a 2 Gig card full of RAW and at least 1 Gig full of jpeg? That is my typical Wedding!

Have you learned how to process "batch Actions" they are real time savers, especially if you are doing the same thing to a lot of pictures. I use one for the slideshow I play at receptions, it just rotates, sharpens, and auto contrast the pictures. That also works for the proofs. Then the actual 8x10's and such I go thru individually and take out distractions and color adjustments. That saves me a LOT of time!

You can make an action for just about anything too, like those frames I sent to you. You can make one for resizing, sharpening, adding a watermark (which I think you should do, since your pictures are so nice!). Like my latest postings had "Poseidon's Pic" on them! You could make one to say Zhenya's images or something!

I have that 2GB card but never used it yet, I shudder at the thought of processing more than 10-15 images at one time...
You know,Mike, I like the RAW format a lot but this processing is just killing me. Adjusting, converting, adjusting some more, converting to something else.... Anyways, I like to put a watermark on some of my images but I haven't learn how to do that yet. Plus, I don't know what font or color, or transperency to select...blah, blah... You wana take a crack at it?
