First pic with the new cam.
Well, did a test run shot with the new Canon 350D...So far I can't say much as it was just a test with simple Av setting.
Mike, what do you think?

Hmmm.... I wonder... if I get one of those Canon cameras, will my tank look that nice?
Seriously, nice tank.... any macro pics yet? Bubba

Thanks guys!

![]() As far as pics being sharp, I think they could better with practice and couple of good lenses. I used 28-135 IS on this shots and I must say that this lens is a bit soft at times. Maybe it;s just me though. ![]() Bubba, no macros yet. It needs some time to set up everything and time has been short lately. Quote:

Well the 28-135 is going to be softer then say your 50, BUT I still think it does pretty darn good for a walk around zoom, with IS! My 24-70 is definately sharper then my 28-135, BUT it BETTER be, it was almost 3X the price.
I still think that tang needs some Xanax, or Valium, he has got to be freaked! |

Mike,
I agree. It is a darn good lens for walk around purpose, I honestly don't take it off the camera all that much. I usually switch to Sigma's 24-135 f2.8 inside becouse of the larger aperture, around f5.6-f8 it is a very sharp lens for the money. Not L glass, mind you, but a good all around lens and build like a tank. Quote:

I used a bit larger aperture on that shot and focus on that one coral branch in the middle of the viewing field, this way everything else becomes out of focus. I think it would've been much better if i shot this shot somewhere at f3.5 or f2.8. I'm becoming addicted to photography pretty quickly... ![]()

Mike,
If you visit this thread again, here are two images I shot using that 24-135 Sigma. Images didn't quite turn out as good as I hoped but I didn't use flash and still, I sort of like this cam better than 300D. I got a long way to go with this one though, auto WB is pretty crappy, 300D I have is way better in that department. ![]()

I get that alot,Bubba. I simply wait, and wait, and then click away as soon as I see that fish posed a bit. It helps if you have lens that are a bit longer( zoom/telephoto) and has more reach, so to speak. I also try to feed the fish just prior to me getting the camera going. I let them eat for a bit( pumps are off usually too), then I make sure there are no bright lights in the room and start clicking away... Sometimes it works and sometime it doesn't. ![]()

Pics look awesome as always. The 75 is coming along nicely, and that 110 is a sea of red.
