pictures of tanks
what kind of camera do you generally take pictures of your tank with? i have just about every type of camera in my home and am interested in snapping some shots of my tank. what settings allow the best pictures?

Hi Webbster45,
Use whatever you are most comfortable with, as far as the camera is concerned. I like to use my 24-70 lens for full tank shots, usually I have to use exposure compensation and set it for -1 or -2 if I am in an auto mode. As for settings, there is NOT a "best setting" as every tank is different in some way. What kind of lights, reflectors, ambient light, the color of the wall paint in the room, these things all play a role in what the proper setting will be. Check out the "stickies" at the top of this forum for some explanations on what shutter speed and aperture do... |
