Great start James!

They appear a touch "soft" but that could be from the compression. When you resize for web, make sure to use "Unsharp Mask" before saving. I use .3 and 100% 0 levels usually...

We don't have any flowers at our new house to get any pictures of, but here are a few we took at our old house:

Re: some flower shots!

Very nice shots guys!
James, I like the first shot the best for some reason...maybe because of the soft focus or something. Sometimes softer focus makes shots so much more mysterious and romantic. No?

Anyways, we don't have anything in bloom in my garden yet so no flowers for me yet, but soon...

Re: some flower shots!

yeah first shot is my fave as well i like it cause of the focus on the very front pettels but all the rest are blured.

Re: some flower shots!

I finally managed to snap a few shots of the flowers my grandaughter and I planted this spring.

Here are few that I had a chance to process a bit.

I'm not sure what this bug is but it came to visit while I was taking pictures, so I have to include this shot as well...

And little bit on the artsy-fartsy side... I need to play with it a bit more but you get the idea...

Re: some flower shots!

Keep them coming you guys. I have only tulips to shoot at besides the ones I posted. The snow ain't off the hills yet, so Lorie hasn't gotten to plant much yet.

Re: some flower shots!

I just took these this morning just as the sun was up. My tripod came in so I will have to put it to use soon.

These are just a few of the hundreds of flowers throughout our yard, front and back. I went plant crazy this spring.

Re: some flower shots!

Sorry I didn't get back sooner Gene:slap::slap:. I had that last one framed but right before I took the pic, a gust of wind decided to ruin the day. It was really windy that day. It was kind of funny, when Lorie and I bought those, both of us thought they were a really pretty flower. They bloom constantly. I was going to try and get out there again and get another shot.

Thanx for the compliments
