Tang photo taking
Hi all,
I need some help, i have a tang and have no idea what it is, i tried to take some photos but they were not suitable for identification. I have a fiji s5600 camera. Can someone advice me on the best setting for this camera to take a photo of a Tang. I have read some other posts and tried adjusting some of the settings for ISO ect but they appear worse then the first ones i took. thanks |

Re: Tang photo taking
On the first picture it looks like you used Flash, it is clearly the best of the 3. (Sorry I can't help on the ID though.) The other 2 are poor because of "motion blur". Motion blur can be eliminated or reduced by using a faster shutter speed, the catch is you can't just increase the shutter speed without either A) increasing the light reflected from the subject, B) Increasing the aperture of the lens, (use a smaller F-stop number, like 4.0 or even better 2.8.) or finally C) Increase the ISO.
Some cameras are better at higher ISO settings then others, as an example my son's camera looks horrid at ISO 400, where on my camera I regularly use 1600 for fish pictures. In this case, you may be limited by a few things, your tank lighting, your camera, or the lack of an off camera flash. I wish I could have just given you a setting to use on your camera, but in this case I don't see any other option other then the on camera flash. ![]() |
