Question for Mike...
Hi Mike,
Hope you see this. I've taken some shots in a very bright, sunny day and lots of my shots came out with some highlights severely blown. What do you do to save pix when this happens. I'll attach an example. I tried to desaturate it and work with the colors but couldn't really save the shot so it could be printed. ![]()

Re: Question for Mike...
Aww.... Isn't she a cutie!!!???
As for highlight recovery, I use the Shadow/Highlight tool in CS2, or in Lightroom. Both work pretty well. Another thing you can do is make a duplicate layer, slide the exposure slider down, and then fade the 2 layers together to taste (Using the opacity slider). When I get home, I'll see what I can do for you. E-mail me the original if you can... |

Re: Question for Mike...
Thanx Mike! I'll give it a try and see if I can salvage some of the shots.

Re: Question for Mike...
Well, it depends, Scott.
To ilustrate what I am talking about check out this picture of my oldest granddaughter and look at the highlights on the arm. It's just too bright for my liking and I know it will come out horrible on the paper. ![]()
