    Re: Photoshop

In a word, SPEED. CS3 runs much faster, it has a few added goodies, but nothing jaw dropping.

So, basically it is the same product then. That is good. Did they do any rearranging of stuff, or it that the same also.

    Re: Photoshop

Of course they did, but it is not bad. The other thing that is cool is the text tool, they made it easier to warp text, run verticals, etc.... For the average user, I'll bet CS2 is plenty, heck I don't use all of what CS3 has to offer, but I do appreciate the speed increase.

    Re: Photoshop

    I personally like the newer version of the Bridge myself, aside from what Mike mentioned already, of course. Also, storing and uploading, filing and such is much faster than the previous versions. I haven't checked the latest RAW processing update, just haven't had a chance yet. ;;
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

    Re: Photoshop

That is a good point Gene, CS3 bridge is WAY better then CS2. No more crashes and MUCH MUCH faster.

    Re: Photoshop

I second the speed of CS3. Much better.

Funny because I have the CS3 suite and never used Bridge or anything yet. LOL I mainly just use PS CS3 itself and Dreamweaver CS3 for my site designs. That's about it. Heck, haven't even used the Fireworks CS3 and that is designed for the web (way more than PS is actually). :eek3:

But if you're not using PS for any professional editing, then no need to really upgrade unless you have the extra money to spend and you're bored.

I know one guy that is putting up exceptional model portraits and he is still using PS7!!! I almost wanted to buy him CS because I felt sorry for him! LOL He told me he was familiar with PS7, so why change. Hmmmm

I totally agree with this statement. If you just need to post images on the internet than Photoshop Elements is the software to use, in my humble opinion. It is a fraction of the cost of the big brother software and has most of the bells and whistles that one needs for quick editing, resizing and storing.

I personally upgraded for free from the CS to CS3 as they ran special on it and that is the only reason I got it. And of course the Bridge is just unbelievable browsing experience in the CS3. I love it! You just have to try it, Mat. ;)
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

I'm definitely going to have to see what it's all about.
