Those are fun Gene! Looks like your LFS has quite the SPS collection. I wish I had a good LFS, the 2 I like best are about an hour away from me.![]()
I took my camera with me today for some practicing and was pretty happy with a few shots. I'll attach a few teasers until I can process more.
Enjoy! ;;
Kind regards,
Gene.

Thanks, Mike!
They just started bringing aquacultured small colonies, few month at the most. I must say that whatever they bring in is quite nice. I actually picked up two small colonies, a bottlebrush green acro and I think the other one is A.secale. Not quite as colorful yet but it has some potential to become a show piece. If it lives, of course.
I'll attach a picture of their 120g tank that they keep most of the sps that comes in and the same size LPS tank. They had some really nice, red lobophyllias in there that were just beautiful.
Kind regards,
Gene.

Hey Gene,
Really nice pics! love the grouper, too bad they get so dang big
You're lucky to have such a nice LFS, mine is OK but fish are always visibly sick so when I buy a fish I have to be ready with the meds
Right now I'm busy QTing my daughter's fish![]()

Click my avatar to see my tank, it's getting so perdy!!
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach him how to fish and you get rid of him all weekend.
Hi Louise,
The LFS is OK and getting a bit better. They have one really nice employee that knows his stuff and takes care of the salt section. Most of the fish that is stressed after shipping and not doing well, or beat up by the bullies, is put in their reef tanks and they all recover and do extremely well. Most other stores just let the weak fish die and be thrown in the garbage cans.
Kind regards,
Gene.

Geez, I missed another of Gene's picture threads. Would somebody wake me up when this stuff happens?
Great stuff Gene, at least you only have drive a couple of miles to get pics from your lfs like that.

True, Charlie.Great stuff Gene, at least you only have drive a couple of miles to get pics from your lfs like that.I just wish they cleaned the darn glass more often...
Makes it a hell of a time trying to focus on correct subject. Manual focus helped me on many occasions there. Next time I will try taking that top down box I have and give top down shots a go.
I had to get up on a ladder to get that gigas fit in the frame...![]()
Kind regards,
Gene.

Indeed! They have it in a 40 breeder with nothing else in it. The clam almost reaches from front to the back(tank is 18" deep). So far no one bought it.If I had a 300 or larger tank I would buy in a flash. It is really a very nice clam and very healthy looking.
I added a picture with clownfish for size comparison.
Kind regards,
Gene.
