Wow Gene that is really pretty! I like the SUPER shallow DOF, it looks dreamy... Louise, that is a REALLY bright flower.

Anyway, took another shot with very shallow depth of field the other day. No need to guess what flower that is, though, I think it;s pretty easy to tell.
I kind of like this type if images, especially of the flowers.

OMG! I completely forgot about this thread!
It's a flowering stalk of a purple basil plant. It made such a nice plant that I decided to put some in my rock garden next year!

I love the rose, the shallow DOF gives it a really soft look. Do you know what that one is called? I like the color..........
