I was just fooling, Charlie. I rarely take pictures of my tank, or it;s occupants this days. I think I'm in the burned out mode again and even taking pictures seems like too much for me. I just feed the tank, change water in it monthly and that is it.

I wanted to upgrade my camera body but ofter thinking about it I change my mind, if you know what I mean. Not sure what tomorrow holds so I'm being cheap this days... :eek3:

I knew that Gene!!!! You sound like you need a new tank, I mean challenge, I think I can understand the burned out feeling tho, especially with what you have gone thru with the tank lately.

As far as the 40D goes, that is basically what I wanted to do also, newer body, more up to date features. I have the lenses that I want.

Gene, I think Charlie hit it on the head! You need a NEW TANK! A GREAT BIG ONE!!! Just put it in the vacation home, and move over there.... It has a nice view!

OK, got it put together, CF cards are formatted and learning the new buttons and stuff. It is gonna take a while for me to get used to this, believe me. Gonna be lots of practicing goin on, I can tell you that!!!!

Unfortunately, no. I didn't get home from work last nite until about 7, and spent the night cleaning up the tank and basement for the club meeting later today. I hope to take some pics later today or tomorrow when I get some time to sit back and enjoy a little bit.

By tonite or early tomorrow morning I should have some stuff ready, and then you can tell me what I am doing wrong, OK? This looks to be a major learning experience, so expect some really dumb questions. If I have asked these before, Gene, I will just have to relate them to that e-mail you sent me yesterday, which by the way is now being enjoyed by at least 10 other folks across the country.

Charlie, it is actually very much the same! Av is still Av, P is still P... There are many more things that are the same, and only a few things in the menu are different. Do NOT get intimidated by the new body... It is just and upgrade of your existing camera, not a whole new one.

Yeah, I realize that. I think that may be all in this poor little brain of mine. I am going to have to set the white balance again though. Do you use a custom white balance when taking tank pics?

Not if you shoot RAW you won't.... Then you can set the WB in post. ;)
