    Thanks for the offer, Chuck!
The coral in the very last image in this thread is a Montipora digitata, purple variety... ;)

Yes, that flasher wrasse is absolutely beautiful and extremely active. I hope very much to save him during the upgrade.
Construction in my house begins on the 17th of this month and I need to step up in my quest of finding home for both of my tanks. I haven't advertised at all yet, so I'll need to see if I can post in our local club forum that I am getting rid of the anemone tank. Perhaps someone would be interested in making some money selling the clones, as Ninong had suggested. I wouldn't mind doing the e-bay thingy if I didn;t hate it so much. I got burned $600 in dealing with an overseas vendor.

Anyway, I intend to ask president of our local club if I can put an add and sell either the whole tank or clones first and then the tank(I can get it moved then, at least). The LFS owner here is willing to get me that 250g tank at his cost + shipping, and that should save some money for some pumps upgrade and such.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

It's not a bad idea, Mike. I wouldn't mind at all making some money for the upgrade. The problem here is that not many people want to pay a whole lot for them anymore. At least around here. I don;t need to sell them for $100+, something like $49-55 a clone would do the job for me because I got at least a 100 of them in there, probably more...
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

If you want, I can make a post on my local forum, it seems people are ALWAYS looking for RBTA around here. I could give you a ringing endorsement too!

Re: Snow day...bored outta my skull.

    Gene,

Another option would be to take a few new pics of your anemone tank and then email them to some of the LFS in your area telling them that you are planning to move and need to sell your anemones, but before you list them on eBay you are offering them to the LFS in your area at wholesale prices.

Tell them how healthy they are and the approximate size range. Tell them you are only interested in accepting offers for a minimum of 10 specimens that they must pick up from your house in person. That would be to their advantage anyway because that way they could see what they're getting. You don't want to have to bring the anemones to them because they will try to renegotiate the price after you get there. And you don't want to have to go to all the trouble of removing them yourself and transporting them to the store in cold weather.

Tell them you can't leave home because other people are coming to pick up a dozen or two but you still have two or three dozen that you would be willing to hold for them for 24 hours.

Instead of naming a price, ask them to give you a bid on a minimum of 10 anemones. They can easily sell those for $139.00 retail, so they should be willing to pay you at least $450 for ten of them.

You could always keep two or three for yourself, assuming you want to go through that all over again.

    Gene,

    Check out this interesting flasher:

According to Drs. F&S, it's supposed to be a P. filamentosus X P. flavianalis hybrid.

If you had one of those, you could post pics and then drive everybody crazy trying to guess what it is.

Re: Snow day...bored outta my skull.

Wow! That sure is one weird looking flasher...
I first saw picture of this particular breed in Rudie Kuiter's book. It is on the first page of the flasher wrasses chapter.

On a side note, I'm having one terrible day.
My dishwasher broke and it cost me $400 to replace motor and a pump. Then my 75g tank overflowed and dumped about 5 gallong of salt water on the carpet and salinity dropped to 1.018 (again! ). This time the culprit was my sea cuke. Don't know how it got into my durso pipe but it did... I didn;t even know it was in the elbow of the durso pipe and just took that elbow off and dropped it into a trash bin. Then, when I went to put that elbow back on top of the durso I saw it in there all swelled up. I dropped it back into the tank and it just cralled away, under the rock...

Then I found out that my drain bulkhead was leaking. I tried to give it a quarter turn but couldn't so I ended up replacing the bulkhead. Now I need to cut that soaked piece of carpet and take it outside, or maybe into the garage to let it dry. On top of all this mess my left leg was killing me for two days now, I;m guessing maybe gaut or whatever you call this thing. So I am not a happy person today to deal with...
Oh, and my granddaughter is sick again and she is staying at my house. So my hands are tied and I am ready to break out that rope I was saving for my neck... to hang myself...
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

    Yeah, bad day indeed!
My wife actually just came home so I can now take care of that crappy tank and then maybe relax a bit. I forgot to say that I also need to replace a feed pipe for my dishwasher because it has a pinhole in it and sparying water all over the place. I'll deal with it first and then start on cleaning up that mess. :eek3:
Thank god I didn't throw away any of my plumbing tools, like torch and sodder and all the other crap.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

Re: Snow day...bored outta my skull.

Well, I'm about all finished except for that soaked carpet. Replaced piece of copper pipe with tubing for my dishwasher and tested everything for leaks. Thankfully there isn't any... and I deal with carpeting tomorrow. Or not.
All I need now is one of this...
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

Well, just cause you asked, Tim...

My new frag of Euphyllia ancora.

And bit closer look, note the texture of the tentacles...

I also got this little green tongue coral(Herpolitha limax), which my errogant cleaner shrimp is using as a prop during feeding time in this picture.

And a close up, of course...

I also noticed that my sea urchin stopped using zoas for camouflage and using more of the substrate, like flakes of coralline and some fallen epoxy chunks from old mountings.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.
