im not a coral genius so i wont guess. if you go to coralpedia.com or xtalreef you can find it...the second site is a pic/list of good and bad things for your tank. coralpedia just has lots of info and pics
Looks like some sort of pest anenome but i'm not 100% sure.
New Setup in progress. 75 Gallon reef.....still trying to figure out what I need. Your help is much appreciated.
Looks like your average Aiptasia sp. anemone. I wouldn't feed it at all, if anything I would feed them some very hot kalkwasser paste.
;)
Kind regards,
Gene.

Yeah, looks like aiptasia. When I had my Aiptasia problem I injected them with vinegar...seemed to work well.
Kalk paste is the BEST solution. In case you don't know, Kalk is just pickling lime (same stuff). If you can find Mrs. Wages pickling lime at Wal-Mart, buy it.
Then, find a syringe (if you can get a large gauge syringe from a vet or doctor, that would be good).
Mix some water from your tank with the kalk until it becomes a thick paste. Suck it up into your syringe and inject the individual aptasia.
A slight correction...
Don't mix the Pickling lime with tank water. SW and Pickling lime don't mix. Use RO/DI water. Tap water would also be okay, since it's such a small amount. You want a "toothpaste" consistency. Then, with a syringe, inject this mixture into the pest anemone, and cover the entire thing. If it's in a high flow area, you may need to re-direct flow, or turn off a powerhead, to keep the mixture from getting blown off of the anemone.
