    New video

Made a new video today of shots taken at a friends store. Not my tank- this is a store display tank. My tank is almost ready for video again- got rid of the hair algae finally! I'll do an updated video of my tank soon. In the mean time, enjoy some beautiful corals.
If you'd rather, I uploaded the same video to Vimeo and it looks noticably better.

This is unbelievable video eye candy. Thanks so much for sharing, Greg!
Glad to hear your tank is doing great and can;t wait to see it.

PS. Your links work just fine, however, I had better luck with youtube, qualitywise. Seem like it streamed much better than vimeo did in my browser, which is IE7. Picture was perfect but the music didn't play well at all, on youtube it was perfect for me.
    Anyway, fantastic job!
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

Thanks Gene! Interesting about the performance issue- I guess youtube just has a better connection.
Lanthanum chloride is what turned the corner on my algae problem. So easy to use too. Been about 4 months now and I've seen no negatives and the corals are back to looking and growing how they're supposed to.

ps- the embedded hyperlinks only appear when the mouse is over the link, and the link isn't underlined so it's impossible to know where it is. Using the latest version of Mozilla with Windows 7.

    Hi Greg,

Yes, Zach is aware of this and it should be fix in a little while. There are so many things to take care of, so we need to give him a bit more time to do all of it. ;)
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

I've been reading up on this, seems to work really well in reducing PO4 to zero. I'm glad it worked for you with the hair algae, and that you stuck with the tank and didn't just drain it and start anew.

    ;)
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

    Re: New video

I understand completely. The new look to Reeflands is great imo, by the way.
As for my tank- starting over would've been such a pain and so drastic... but I was out of patience and I tried so many different things to solve the problem. I was ready to scrap it and start over when I went to the wholesaler to get a hundred or more hermit crabs. The guy who ran the wholesaler place suggested I try the LC and I'm so glad he did. What could be easier than adding a few drops to yoru sump a couple times a week? GFO feh.
