Hi Jason,
How is this bulb compared to the megachrome 14.5K in the intensity?
Good news, Phoenix now makes a single end version of there bulb.

Hi,
The Megachrome 14K doesn't look like a normal 14K, it's what they call a True 14K, so for most people, Megachrome would look mroe like a 10 or 11K lamp. So it doesn't have much blue at all, so it's a little brighter then Phoenix 14K, but the Phoenix has a lot more blue color.
I think if you need a halide with some decent blue tint though, it's one of the best choices out there, it's still bright with some blue. Or the 20K Reeflux looks really close to color and intensity as the 14K phoenix and is less expensive, but Phoenix at least from looks, seems to be the winner. It's really close to 14K Aquaconnect and a lot less expensive.
Thanks Jason!
Do you know if Sanjay ever tested this bulbs for PAR and spectral distribution?
Kind regards,
Gene.
