Minh, I am very sorry this happened. We are all here for ya! I have also had RTN problems, which might have just been heat related.

I lost a tricoulour acro frag 2 weeks ago. It just started to wither away, and show white skeleton.

Again, deepest sympathies to your tank

Angry

you have my deepest sympathies, i for one know what you went through but on a smaller scale..

about a month ago i left for work and the power had apparently gone out since when i got back the clock on the stove was off by about 1hr 20min, this is what happened. as i walked out the door i hear my battery backup start beeping, so i figure, living in florida, rolling brown out, or 5 min outage, so i wait, and wait and wait..... nothing, my battery backup will last 40 min with only the main pump plugged in to it. here is my mistake, i start adding ice to the tank in both overflows since the temp was going to start climbing, then i leave for work ASSuming the power would return in a few min.. well it doesnt...and the battery wore down, so when the power came back, the pump had air and needed priming to get going and the added water from the melted ice overflowed inside the stand and onto a power strip i added for my hood fan which i left laying on the floor of the stand...needless to say i walked into a blue smoking house with the smell of an electrical fire !!!

i run to the stand and see the power strip didnt trip its ground fault switch!!! and its melting before my eyes...the last thing your supposed to do in an electrical fire is grab the electical appliance, well screw that i grabbed that plug and yanked it out of the socket , thank God i didnt get zapped, guess it was a good idea i sealed the bottom of the stand with silicone....

lesson learned...
dont buy crapy power strips
dont assume everything will be ok
