check out the my leather, she's been acting strange

It hasn't been opening up like it should and it seems to almost be molting or something. It seems to also be moving off of the hard yellow coral its attached to. Does that mean she's not happy, should I just leave things alone? What do you think? Sorry about the pic, I can't get the damn thing any smaller!!
    Keep the faith,

    Smile Hi Caesar !

It appears to me that the yellow coral (porites, i think) may be having chemical warfare with the leather and I would think that this would affect the leather if the leather has not gotten much better I would definately either frag the porites or the leather since they are both so close to each other....also not on the base of the leather about an inch up their appears to be a line, this may be the directly affected area?! which it would make sense to me that even at the base/root of every tree that is effected would affect the whole tree in essence.

Here is a better pic scuba. The thing is it just started turning south, also it sppeared to be molting last week so I gave it a dip for 15 min. Can't the leather move if its not happy?

Absolutely, and it will, but it may take time and the other coral may just be spewing its defense at him the whole time. The way I see it you have two options. You can make sure that the adjacent rock is as close to it as possible and wait it out and hope that it jumps ship to spread onto the newfound real-estate or you can frag it. The down fall of fragging it are these types of leathers arent the easiest to attach once they are fragged. But the downfall of not fragging it could be a slow decline of health.

Well I gave her a dip, and she seemed to be "molting". Have you ever heard a leather do such a thing? But it seems to be opening up well again. I think I'm gonna ride it out, pray for me.
