    Question Anemone hiding

Hey guys I got this anemone about a week ago and it's doing great but it looked like it had died this morning but it turned out that it retracted and moved itself under my base rock. Now all that I can see is one tentacle reaching out from under the rock. Will it get enough light and food or should I try to get him out, thanks

my suggestion would be to leave it alone. all the anemone i've had tend to hide at first and eventually will come out. if it's not happy where it is, it'll move on it's own. moving it manually will only stress it out.

    good luck!

    Exellent advice!

What type of anemone is it and what type of tank do you have? Reef,FOWLR?What type of lighting and water parameters?

Not trying to be nosy but if we would try to help,we would need some info on the system you're running
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

My anemone finally pulled itself out from under the rock today and seems to be doing good. I also read in a book that anemones are filled with water and have to deflate and reinflate to get fresh water in their systems. So my guess that is why it looked like it had died that morning.

    Thanks for your advice guys.
