"Reef Invertebrates" This book is HUGE!

Hi Everyone,

Just received my advanced copy of Anthony Calfo and Robert Fenner's new book "Reef Invertebrates" and it is huge. Page size is 8 1/2 x 11" and at first glance through, almost every page (nearly 400) has beautiful colored pictures.

In a personal conversation with Anthony on Sunday June 29th, he gave me an indication that I would be pleased and hoped you would be pleased, too.

I can assure you, you will be pleased.

HUGE thanks to Anthony and Bob for putting the time and effort into this very important addition to our Marine Aquarium Library.

Anthony, Bob, I owe you a beer. I'll see you both at MACNA 15 and Anthony, I'll see you in Madison, WI at your seminar, in September.

You can find their book at various vendors. A list of dealers can be found at Reeding Trees Publishers

Suggested retail is $42.95 but, by checking the various dealers listed you will be able to find it for less.

Have to agree that Barry provided some nice pics for the clam chapter Good job my friend I've found that it has plenty of information for the novice and even seasoned veterans like Rocky here, and... hopefully Anthony and Bob will get cracking on the next one very soon.
I already finished reading this one and starting to feel a pang of withdrawal.
BTW, Happy and safe Independence Day to all

BTW nice pics Barry and Dick!

Thanks!

Gene, the crew from WWM didn't get all the best images, saving them for my on going project

Think that Anthony and Bob and the crew from WWM did a great job with this book. Zo and his wife did a great job with the layout! Now if Bob would stay in town he would be getting more work done on the new one coming out.

We all have different levels of accumulating knowledge, its sharing it with others that makes our color of beauty shine

Very well put,Rocky,I think eloquent would be correct term.

I suppose you're right,I just ment it as an example. 5-10 yrs of experience hardly qualifies for the season veteran I guess when you think of 30 or so yrs that the authors have under their belts
I'm a newbie myself and all the people you've mentioned qualify as the season veterans to me,yourself included
BTW, the falling down smiley would be me tomorrow

Hi Everyone

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. Be'n busy with the holiday and all.

scubadude: Hi buddy, Thanks for the compliment on the pics. My Fl gig isn't off the ground yet BUT, it's getting close. You will be one of the first to know when ground is broken.

I'm about half way through this book and I'm amazed at the quality of the color photos and the detail that Bob and Anthony have gone into.

Great job you guys.

I have gotten through the first hundred pages or so and is a very good book so far. I will be using of thier suggestion on my new tank I will be setting up as soon as it arrives.
Need to finish it though before the tank arrives in case it gives me some more ideas to implement.

I got my 2-20 amp circuits for the lights and the 2-15 amp circuits for the pumps in for my new tank. Now I am waiting on t his book to read the refuguim section. I have just finished Tyree's book RE gradient filtration with cryptic fauna. Looks like I will use my custom sump after all with another 30 gallon cube. I think I will read the boook Friday and Saturday amd set up Sunday and MOnday!

Our site has autographed copies for $32 plus shipping.

You can access them by going to, The Cultured Reef. We all might just as well put a shameless plug here.

Those of us in the Desert Marine Society were fortunate enough to have both Bob and Anthony as guest speakers at our June monthly meeting! They were kind enough to donate some advance copies to our club to sell to members and even signed them for us. Great job guys and Bob your talk on you trip to Sulawesi was awesome. I only wish I had joined in the Margaritis and dinner beforehand!

Don't complain to us, just find a source and buy one. It's better than good, it's great.

Here's a link, check it out "Reef Invertebrates"
Should you be up so late?
